This is a list of all hills in Great Britain (and surrounding islands, excluding Ireland) that are more than fifty miles from a higher prominence peak. This is a variant of isolation which is moderately standard metric for mountains; however, this variant no doubt constitutes original research and has no place on Wikipedia. I'm simply using it here as a conveniently sized table which a large range of heights (from Ben Nevis at 1,344 metres (4,409 ft) to Rockall at 23 metres (75 ft)) for experimenting with the presentation of mountain lists.

[edit] British Isles thumbnail maps

This is a set of 15 images designed to illustrate various geopolitical units within the British Isles. I have designed them to look reasonable when used at low resolutions (for example, those below are displayed at 30 px). I hope that they may be of use in navigation boxes, etc., to replace the use of flags which are controversial because of the lack of an acceptable flag for Northern Ireland. They are all named BIThumbMap X.png where X is one of CI, IOM, ENG, WAL, SCO, NI, ROI, CD, EW, IRL, GB, UK, UKCD and BI.
