4 new singles?
I find it hard to believe that they're releasing a total of 7 singles ALL from their newest CD this year. Where did the info come from that states that "Pieces", "My Wish", "Ellsworth", "Backwards" are all going to be singles AND be released this year? Or are these being released outside of the US or something?
Not even Kenny Chesney releases that many in one year!
Also, I have noticed that about just about every big star is releasing a CD this year, why is it? Is this year a good year for seling CD's or what?
Sugarland, Alan Jackson, Shania Twain, Dierks Bentley and probably a few others are all releasing new CD's this year despite the fact that some of their latest CD's were released in 2005, are artists now paid by the number of CD's they release in a year or what?

Ok now, no offense here, but I would REALLY like some answers, not just someone changing the page and pretending like it was never different, WHY is Rascal Flatts the ONLY band getting their "non singles" played? This doesn't happen with anyone else, I would like to know WHY they get this type of treatment and where the heck the radio stations get ideas to air these.
Thanks,

Ok, either nobody reads these or nobody wants to reply, but tell me this, please, are My wish, pieces, Backwards and Ellsworth playing on country or pop radio stations? I haven't heard them and I don't listen to pop so can someone tell me?
Thanks,

Show a little patience Faris B. I know this was a long time ago, but I'll answer. Just because a song charts doesn't mean it's a single. Backwards, Pieces, and Ellsworth hit the charts because some stations were playing them as album cuts. It's not uncommon for album cuts to chart.TenPoundHammer 18:46, 18 February 2007 (UTC)
What?
I noticed someone noticed my post and changed the 4 "new" singles to being "Charted due to high radio play", while I'm not doubting you, where the heck are you that your radio station(s) are playing these? I've never heard them.

The CD, Me and My Gang, was highly anticipated. Before the release of the CD, and within the first week it was out, radio stations were playing the CD before it was available in stores in effort to get more listeners. The ones that were played the most were "Backwards," "Pieces," and "Ellsworth." They were played so much by radio stations that they were able to chart. They were only in the 50s but still, were charted. It's very similar to when radio stations got ahold of the song "Skin" and played that right after the "Feels Like Today" cd came out. It was played and requested so much that "Skin" was able to chart a year before it was released as a single.
Also...These songs are NOT on the chart currently. "Life is a Highway" and "My Wish" are both currently on the chart. They were charting back in March/April.
I hope that explains it for you.
Ok, thanks for the information, it's nice to see someone actually explain something around here. Also, I have been listening more to the radio and I've only heard "My Wish" play (speaking in terms of the early release songs) and none of the other ones, just saying.
Faris b 06:21, 18 October 2006 (UTC)
No problem at all. "My Wish" was NOT charted as an early release song. It is currently Rascal Flatts' single to radio. The others probably aren't played because they were played heavily back in March/April. Country radio plays old singles and even sometimes will play nonsingle songs. However, they usually aren't played enough that one would hear them all in one day, nor are they played enough so that they will consistently chart. That's why you haven't heard the others I'm sure. It depends on the station. Not all stations play the same lineup of songs or play the same songs the same amount of times.
Christian?
Does anybody know if Rascal Flatts is a christian Group?? or if they are personally christians?

Is "Stand" a single?
I am hearing the song "Stand" off off "Me and My Gang" being played in the past few days, however only on one radio station, has it been released or is this just another case of the radio stations playing it unofficially? I can't find any info on their site about it either so I'm suspecting it's just the radio station but does anyone know anything for sure?
Faris b 09:55, 20 January 2007 (UTC)
I think that "Stand" IS a single because it's been added to Rascal Flatts' Myspace page, and only singles are ever added. That's what I'm thinking, anyways, but I'm not exactly sure. I can't find anything on their official site either, so you might just want to wait and see.
it's a single it just takes awile to get around. *Lover of the sand 23:27, 3 July 2007 (UTC)*
Citation
I wrote that Rascal Flatts were going to release a new album in October and it says it needs citation. I don't know how to do that so can somebody do that for me? I found it on CMT news. Thanks. O'Malley II 18:38, 7 February 2007 (UTC)
Jim Riley
There is no one in Rascal Flatts named Jim Riley so I deleted it. If you have proof please send me to the cite that it is at.O'Malley II 03:27, 9 February 2007 (UTC)
Jim Riley is the drummer of the back up band that travels with RF for live shows. He's not a member of RF.
- Actually, to be honest, I think Jim Riley was one of the founders of Rascal Flatts as a drummer and leader of the band in the studio and in live shows. Sjones23 21:39, 11 June 2007 (UTC)
- Well, I am not sure, but I think Riley played drums on most of the recordings. Sjones23 21:42, 11 June 2007 (UTC)
-
- No, he hasn't - on the first three albums it was Lonnie Wilson, and on the last two albums it was mostly Chris McHugh. It's on the credit list in liner notes. Happyface162 00:37, 15 October 2007 (UTC)

Video for "He Ain't The Leavin' Kind
Apparently, there is. However, it's a concert style video.

Does this mean it's a single?
What is up with the 2004 song called "My Worst Fear"? It has a video but I've never heard the song on the radio before. Vala M 16:02, 28 February 2007 (UTC)
Mayberry was the single at that point but they wanted to do a video for "My Worst Fear." RF loved that song and wanted to do something with it but couldn't release it as a single because they were going to release their new CD in a few months and needed to realease the first single from the new CD at that time instead of releasing another single from "Melt".
Everything I've heard said that Leaving Kind is NOT going to be a single. Just like with My Worst Fear, it seems that they'll be making a video but not releasing the song. TenPoundHammer 00:27, 29 March 2007 (UTC)
Weird. What would be the point of that? It seems "Stand" has a video now.
Vala M 18:20, 2 April 2007 (UTC)
- Maybe they just wanted to do a video? TenPoundHammer 04:30, 3 April 2007 (UTC)

New template
I just added a new template to the bottom of this page. I also cleaned up the bio pages on each member. Let me know what you think. (By the way, I don't want the infobox to include all of their singles, since it would become too cluttered, so I just went with their #1's.) In addition, I have given this page a much needed cleanup, removing fancruft and so forth. TenPoundHammer 05:30, 3 April 2007 (UTC)
Joe Don Rooney
The article states that "Joe Don Rooney grew up along the Oklahoma-Texas border." Can anyone find a source to support this? Everything I've seen says he grew up in Picher, OK, which is on the Oklahoma-Kansas border. 137.240.136.82 15:26, 27 April 2007 (UTC)
Miss USA connection?
Does anyone think the fact that two of the band members are married to former Miss USA delegates (Allison Alderson and Tiffany Fallon) is noteworthy enough to mention here? PageantUpdater User Talk Review me! 03:16, 16 May 2007 (UTC)
