Rashid N. Khan

Rashid N. Khan is the co-founder and Chief Technology Officer of Ultimus, a business process management (BPM) company based in Cary, N.C.

Prior to establishing Ultimus, Khan was the founder and CEO of Sintech Inc., which created advanced software for mechanical testing. He founded the company in 1983 and after six years, Khan sold Sintech to MTS Systems Corporation in 1989, where he worked for five years as a vice president and gerenal manager.

  • Khan obtained two undergraduate degrees from MIT in Computer Science and Political Science.
  • Khan obtained a Masters degree in Computer Science from the University of California at Berkeley, and an MBA from the Harvard Business School.

Khan was awarded three technology patents by the US Patent Office, two of them in the area of business process management and workflow automation software.
