[edit] Career

[edit] Da Kaperz - GA Peach (1998–2006)

A native of Decatur, Georgia, Rasheeda started out as a member of the teenage hip hop trio Da Kaperz. When she decided to launch her solo career she was snatched up by Motown Records and she released her solo, debut album Dirty South in 2001.[2] The album contained the dirty south anthem, “Do It (Do Da Damn Thang)” with Pastor Troy. Her follow up was 2002’s A Ghetto Dream released on the Atlanta based D-Lo Entertainment label. That album featured collaborations with the superstars of crunk, Lil Jon and the Eastside Boyz and secured Rasheeda’s place as one of most talented rap artist in the game. Georgia Peach, was her third successful album containing the critically acclaimed singles, "Georgia Peach" and "Touch Ya Toes." Her latest endeavor Dat Type of Gurl has guest appearances from multiplatinum crooner, Akon and southern favorites, Baby, Jazze Pha and Fabo of D4L.

[edit] 2007–present

Rasheeda is currently promoting both her 4th album called Dat Type Of Gurl, which is set to be released on June 19th, and the lead single, "Got That Good (My Bubble Gum)", which was also featured on her 3rd LP, GA Peach. Additionally, she has joined with equally obscure Atlanta-based American R&B singer/songwriter Kandi Burruss in forming the girl group Peach Candy in collaboration with D-Lo Entertainment, Don Vito Entertainment and Kandi Koated Entertainment. Their current single is called "Bam" and can be heard on their MySpace page.

Rasheeda also graced the cover of SPATE Magazine in the June/July 2007 issue.[3]

In a recent interview she is to front a show for BET called The Boom Bap which will air in 2008[4]

She is to release her fifth studio album in 2008, the lead single is called "Let It Go".

[edit] New Album: "Certified Hot Chick"

Rasheeda's new album is officially called "Certified Hot Chick" [5] as shown on her MySpace and talked about in her new video on YouTube. As well as "Let It Go", 2 new tracks from the new album have recently been put up on her MySpace page: "Juicy Like A Peach" & "Drop It Low". In the video she mentions many more songs from the new album & says that the PeachCandy album is coming soon. She also says that she only needs to do 2 more songs for the album so it is very near completion. Keep checking her and PeachCandy's MySpace pages for all the latest stuff
