[edit] History
Philip Rood aka DJ Zilla, who lives in Brussels, Belgium is the man behind Rapzilla.com.[1] He started working on Rapzilla.com in March 2003 when he was only 15 years old [2] , and launched the site in September 2003. He wanted to bring more diversity on the internet, since only two sites were online (Sphereofhiphop.com and the HipHopZone forum in 2003). Besides the re-design of Rapzilla.com in November 2006 Philip came up with a new version of the Holy Hip Hop Toolbar in April 2007. The first version dates from 2005.[3]
In 2005 the first compilation was released "Rapzilla : the compilation volume 1." The album was a free download at the site Rapzilla.com. You can get it today on soundclick.com[4], volume 2 never saw the light of the day, due to DJ mixing problems.
Starting end of 2007, CCM Magazine has started to use Rapzilla's news to cover Christian Hip Hop on their website. [5]
