[edit] Dr.Parnav Pandya

Thank you for experimenting with Wikipedia by creating the page Dr.Parnav Pandya. Your test worked, and the page that you created has been or soon will be deleted. Please use the sandbox for any other tests you want to do. Take a look at the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing to our encyclopedia. • The above was a bit cruel, I have moved the article to Pranav Pandya. Please make up your mind: is he Parnav or Pranav? -- RHaworth 20:11, 2 February 2007 (UTC)

I still consider it advertising, just like DSVV. Also, the "poem by Dr. Pandya" is generally attributed to St. Francis of Assisi. NawlinWiki 16:02, 9 February 2007 (UTC)

The article DSVV has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group or service and which would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 11, as well as the guidelines on spam. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. NawlinWiki 16:00, 9 February 2007 (UTC)

Please read Wikipedia's policies on neutral point of view before reposting promotional articles such as DSVV. NawlinWiki 16:05, 9 February 2007 (UTC)

This is your last warning.
The next time you create an inappropriate page such as DSVV, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. You don't get it, do you? This kind of text is not acceptable in an encyclopedia: "Dev Sanskriti Vishwavidyalaya epitomizes the truth revealed to the elevated consciousness of Yugrishi Pt.Shriram Sharma Acharya in his meditations. It was revealed to revered, Acharyashri, at the peak of his spiritual practices in the Himalayas." This is promoting your particular religious beliefs, in violation of WP:NPOV. Don't post it again or you will be blocked from editing. NawlinWiki 16:18, 9 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Final

Please don't keep posting the Doctor Pandya article... He's not really notable, and most of all the article is written like a resume. It's blatant promotion. I'll delete it, and if it appears again in this form, well... please don't. yandman

[edit] Notability of Bajaj eco-tec products ltd.

A tag has been placed on Bajaj eco-tec products ltd., requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article appears to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag) and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Anonymous DissidentTalk -- (dated 13:14, 21 June 2007 UTC)

The article has been deleted, with the central reason being that it met criterion G11 for speedy deletion -- "blatant advertising which only promotes a company." With the last sentence of the article being "We can offer this product with varieties of adhesive / resins to meet specific requirement of properties. Please call our technical customer care." it was clear that the article's purpose was advertising. Do not create advertorial articles in the future. Leebo T/C 13:23, 21 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Copyright status of Dev Sanskriti Vishwavidyalaya

Please do not post copyrighted material to Wikipedia without permission from the copyright holder, as you did to Dev Sanskriti Vishwavidyalaya. For legal reasons, we will delete copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites (http://www.dsvv.org/?About-us/ in this case) or from printed material.

If you believe that the article is not a copyright violation, or if you have permission from the copyright holder to release the content freely under the GNU Free Documentation License (GFDL) then you should do one of the following:

  • If you have permission from the author leave a message explaining the details on the article's talk page and send an email with the message to "permissions-en (at) wikimedia (dot) org". See Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for instructions.
  • If a note on the original website states that re-use is permitted under the GFDL or released into the public domain leave a note at Talk:Dev Sanskriti Vishwavidyalaya with a link to where we can find that note;
  • If you own the copyright to the material: send an e-mail from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en(at)wikimedia(dot)org or a postal message to the Wikimedia Foundation permitting re-use under the GFDL, and note that you have done so on the article's talk page. Alternatively, you may create a note on your web page releasing the work under the GFDL and then leave a note at Talk:Dev Sanskriti Vishwavidyalaya with a link to the details.

Otherwise, you are encouraged to rewrite this article in your own original words to avoid any copyright infringement. Thank you. • nancy • 19:56, 27 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Image source problem with Image:Tulsiji.jpeg

Image Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading Image:Tulsiji.jpeg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 12:43, 22 October 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. [edit] Orphaned non-free media (Image:Bhl.gif)

Thanks for uploading Image:Bhl.gif. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 17:27, 13 November 2007 (UTC)
