[edit] Retention of Page
Before redirecting this page to Premier foods, please consider my opinion in leaving it stand alone, that hte company was a major player for a long time, and there is detailed history here not relevant to Premier foods.
In the interests of maintaining encylopedic content, i believe this should stand as an article of historic relevance Owain.davies 13:13, 26 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Name of company
I've often seen the name written as Ranks Hovis McDougall, for an example, see FTSE: FTSE 100 Constituent Changes. Can anyone confirm what the correct spelling of the name is? It might mean a page move (Sloman 16:47, 23 August 2007 (UTC))
Definitely Rank not Ranks. Related to the Rank family of film and bingo fame, although always a separate business. see [1] Owain.davies 18:40, 23 August 2007 (UTC)
Despite the apparent certainty with which you make this statement it is unfortunately not correct. The flour milling division is (still) called Rank Hovis but the group was called Ranks Hovis McDougall (rather than Rank Hovis McDougall) until it became RHM in advance of its return to the London Stock Exchange in 2005.
