[edit] Nightingale

  • Good job with the list of songs he has written/performed with the Eagles. However, I though Henley sang "Nightingale"? Could someone confirm this?

Also, is it worth listing "Take it Easy"? Randy sings high harmony over Frey's vocals on verse 2. From "I been standin on a corner..." to "slowing down to take a look at me". Shadow007 06:31, 8 April 2006 (UTC)

Henley sings lead on Nightingale. It is also worth noting that Randy was named Randy Herman Meisner not Randall.

And I don't believe The Eagles were ever considered "country-rock", but rather soft rock or simply, rock.

I disagree. They're often called "country-rock" artists. Whether they should be or not is a separate issue. Shadow007 02:37, 16 July 2006 (UTC)
The Eagles are considered "country-rock" owing to their early Western stylings with the 'Desperado' themed album a salient example. Certainly by the time of the entrance of Joe Walsh they had begun to gravitate towards straight-ahead rock. Nicander 17:49, 19 July 2006 (UTC)
That's all well and good. But what exactly is the point of debating it on the talk page of the Randy Meisner article? Shadow007 11:43, 20 July 2006 (UTC)
