Randall Gardner is a Republican member of the Ohio Senate, representing the 2nd District since 2001. Previously he was a member of the Ohio House of Representatives from 1985 until 2000. There is discussions within the Republican Party of Ohio that he will take the seat vacated in the Ohio House of Representatives by Bob Latta who won the special election on December 11, 2007 to fill the seat in the United States House of Representatives vacated by the untimely death of Paul Gilmore.
