Ranbaxy Pharmaceuticals Inc. is a wholly owned U.S. subsidiary of Ranbaxy Laboratories Limited, India's largest pharmaceutical company. Ranbaxy manufactures a wide range of generic and brand-name drugs, and is the sole producer of opium tincture (also known as laudanum) in the U.S.
