I believe Dekker's record is incorrect. I think he should have around 26 losses and maybe a draw or two. At this time, I can't find any evidence to back this claim up. -P-

[edit] Not a stub no mo'

I don't think this page simply provides "rudimentary information." I'm removing the stub notice.--Blingice 02:46, 12 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Reason for Story template

I wrestled with which template best fit the weaknesses of the article, and I think the "story" template works well. Throughout the article, the information does read more like a narrative and tell a story rather than providing encyclopædic information, especially with a personal interest type tone. Portions such as:

"Ramon trained for about 3 months – his mother dropped him off every day, brought him to the gym, and picked him up after training. Cor saw that Ramon had the potential to be a good fighter..."

clearly show this. In addition, phrases such as "Ramon Dekkers loved the challenge of fighting," and "Dekkers fought some of the best fighters Thailand had to offer. Sometimes he won, sometimes he lost," and

"Dekkers would fight anyone, any time, even though he was recovering from injuries. And lastly, sometimes the Thai were just better than him,"

are also clearly not the style consistant with an encyclopædia.

I'm not so sure the article necessarily requires a full rewrite, but it does need a lot of work. --JohnDoe0007 19:58, 2 May 2007 (UTC)

It sounds like a 8 year old wrote this as his english project.

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:RamonDekkers.jpg

Image:RamonDekkers.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 23:42, 5 June 2007 (UTC)
