Rama Kant is the Head of the Department of General Surgery, King George’s Medical University (see http://www.kgmcindia.edu) and has been the former Chief Medical Superintendent, Gandhi Memorial and Associated Hospitals. He has been accredited with innovative surgical procedure for the surgical management of chronic empyema thoracis, which has been published internationally as Kant's Modified Open Drainage.
