[edit] Separate pages for Rally Sardegna and Rallye Sanremo
Perhaps there should be a separate page for the Rallye Sanremo. The Rally d'Italia Sardinia (now Sardegna) was created from scratch in 2004 while the Rallye Sanremo continues as a very popular round of the Italian Championship and since this year also of the IRC. It is rather strange that Rallye Sanremo redirects to the page of another rally. Rallybase 18:01, 29 November 2006 (UTC)
- No perhaps about it; I only redirected here when I created the page because I didn't want a redlink in the WRC results pages. However, they're two separate events, and therefore two separate articles. I never intended for this page to start accumulating any Rallye Sanremo history. --DeLarge 20:24, 29 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Sanremo not all tarmac rally
Sanremo was not all tarmac rally. Historically, there were gravel stages as well, and the rally was well known by its great combination of the surfaces. As I remember, the drivers started the first day on gravel, and continued the second day on tarmac. If these memories are correct the portion of gravel was at least one whole day, which I whink is too much to call the rally all-tarmac or asphalt. Al 17:25, 27 September 2007 (UTC)
