Rajputs traditionally had their own typical rituals of marriage as it is one of the most important functions of life. It is relation which is created for seven generations between the two families of the Bride & the Groom. It comprises a ceremony each for the TILAK (engagement), the BAN (starting of the wedding ceremony, MEL the community feast, the Nikasi is the departure of the Bridegroom party for the wedding, Sehla & Dhukav reception of wedding party at the Brides place be her parents. A Sherwani is normally worn by a bridegroom along with their own form of Turbun. He keeps a sword in his hand for the ceremony.
A bride wears Lahanga, Odhani, Kurti, etc. The Ornaments worn by a Rahout Bride are Rakhdi on forehead, Sheesphul as headgear, AAd as Thick neck hanging, Baju above elbow on arms, Pajeb as anklets etc.
