Rajmond Debevec was born in Slovenia, Yugoslavia on March 29, 1963. He became involved in shooting sports in 1971 and became a member of Junior national team in 1979. He won his first medal in 1980 by participating in Junior European Championship with air rifle. He represented Yugoslavia at the Olympic Games in 1984 & 1988 and Slovenia in 1992, 1996 & 2000. Among numerous medals and awards he has won through hard work and training, the most important is surely the 1st place in Sydney, where he competed in the event 50 m Rifle (Three positions).

-Olympic gold 3-p, Sydney 2000 with Olympic record 1177 p.(still valid) -World record 3-p, Munich WCF 1992, 1186 p. (still valid) -4x world cup final winner in 3-p (1992,1993,2003,2006) -27x world cup winner (14x in 3-p, 13x air rifle) -multiple WCh medalist in all events from crossbow, air rifle, 50m s-b rifle, to 300m big bore rifle
