Raj Singh Dungarpur is a former president of Board of Control for Cricket in India. He has played first class cricket for 16 years and been in and out of the Board of for more than 20 years. He was a selector of national team for two terms. He has managed the Indian cricket team four times on overseas tours.
Maharaj Raj Singh was born in Dungarpur in Rajasthan on December 19, 1935 . He played for Rajasthan, and he played in 86 first class cricket matches from 1955 to 1971 .He studied at Daly College Indore.
He is the youngest son of Maharawal Lakshman Singhji, the ruler of Dungarpur. He has two brothers, namely, Jaisinghji and Mahipalsinghji.
He is currently the President of the Cricket Club of India, Mumbai, and resides in Mumbai and Pune.
His latest cricketing stint was as the manager of the Indian team to Pakistan recently.
