Oil painting of St.Mary's Church, Handsworth by Rajinder Kumar, 1985. The original painting was vandalised after a break-in at Kumar's studio in Aston in the early 1990s. The artist who has allowed Simon Baddeley to use this image has told me that his painting is slowly being restored, but for the time being this image is the only version. The figure sitting in the churchyard is Matthew, the son of Simon Baddeley's neighbour Margaret Wilson. Sibadd 03:08, 19 March 2006 (UTC)
