Raipura is located at 23.9667° N 90.8750° E . It has 76508 units of house hold and total area 312.77 km².

As of 1991 Bangladesh census^[1], Raipura has a population of 413766. Males constitute are 51.58% of the population, and females 48.42%. This Upazila's eighteen up population is 204212. Raipura has an average literacy rate of 22.5% (7+ years), and the national average of 32.4% literate. ^[2]
