A rainhead is a device used in roof plumbing for the capture of stormwater run off from the rain guttering of a building.
Rainheads are commonly constructed from sheet metal. They comprise a box of varying shape and size which is open at the top and has one or more outlets to which storm water pipes (down pipes) are attached.
Rainheads are often used as architectural features on a building.
