"Rain Is Falling" is a song written and performed by Electric Light Orchestra.
The song has a slightly familiar feel about it, featuring the usual ELO strings and rain effects, and has been likened to the songs comprising the "Concerto for a Rainy Day" featured on the ELO album Out Of The Blue. It was track six on the album Time (1981) and was released as a single in the US 1982. Rain has actually been a regular recurring theme in Jeff Lyne's songwriting, with many songs not actually about it but including references (such as Evil Woman).
