The Railway Stakes is a Group 1 1600 metre thoroughbred horse race under handicap conditions. The race is held at Ascot Racecourse in Perth, Australia in November. Prizemoney in 2007 was AUD$1.0 million.

From 1894 to 1925 was run over 12 furlongs (approx. 2400m).
From 1926 to 1973 was run over 8 furlongs (approx. 1600m).
From 1974 to 1983 was run over 1500m.
