This magnificent statue of Maharaj commands its view at the top of Raigad. The garland on Maharaj is brought by villagers and is a daily ritual observed by them for over 300 years now. Such is the adoration of people. He was truly a peoples King.

The Raigad fort is reachable through a ropeway and one can see markets and erstwhile palace that now lay plundered.
