[edit] Sticks

The sentence "In their local environments, they are used for ropes, sticks, supporting beams and various roof coverings are made out of its fibrous branches and leaves" does not make sense. It is not clear whether it means the fibres are used as sticks, or that sticks are made out of the fibrous branches and leaves (neither sounds plausible, but what do I know about raffia?).
