[edit] For user Willirennen

You claim that he was marketed in Germany as Raff to avoid confussion with "Raf" (German terrorist organisation ). Well, I understand you are relying on an inforamtion coming from Discogs (the referece link, by the way, which you have included does not work because you haven't set it up correctly), which you shouldn't as it isn't anything official. Raf's official web site does not mention anything about that. In fact that's not the reason why his name was spelled with double "F" while he was singing in English. It was done because during that period they were expecting to become world-wide popular with his "Self Control" and English speakers would pronounce his name as [Raef] if he spelled it with one "F", and the only way to have had them pronounce his name the way it is in Italian was to spell it with double "F", that way English speakers would pronounce it [Ruf]. If you still follow Raf's music, you would not say, that he was trying distance himself from terrorist groups because he still is known in Germany and they have printed most of his albums there ever since he switched from English to Italian and the spelling in Germany, at the moment, is Raf as it is in Italy.

P.S. I will leave, however, your addition/explanation for now until you provide a sufficient/official info on that. I hate to say this but Discogs is not going to do it. Harout72
