Rafael Arutunian

Rafael Arutunian is an Armenian figure skating coach. He is a former Soviet national competitor.[1]

Among his current and former students are Jeffrey Buttle, Mao Asada, Mai Asada, Michelle Kwan, Alexander Abt, Sergei Voronov, Alexander Shubin, and fellow Armenian Hovhannes Mkrtchyan. He was the coach of Russian skater Alexander Abt for eleven years. He currently coaches in Lake Arrowhead, California.
