Radio Angel was formed by Kevin Cadogan, the original guitarist for Third Eye Blind.
Cadogan started a new band, Bully, shortly after his exit from Third Eye Blind. He performed with drummer Rob Commer and bassist Adam Johnson, later replaced by Dan Bruce. Cadogan later said that Bruce and Commer were paid by Cadogan to be part of the band, and that the main reason for the dissolution of the band was that Cadogan could no longer pay them.
Bully would later be renamed after it became clear that another band was already operating under that name. The band's name was subsequently changed to Cadogan, then later to Cousin Kevin. Finally, the band's name was returned to the original Bully.
Under the name Cousin Kevin, Cadogan released two full length LPs: Bully For You (2000) and Coming Back From Yesterday (2001). Both albums were released in limited production from Cappagh Hill Music.
The collection of songs Cadogan had written with Bully and by himself were compiled and released later under his own name on the albums Thousand Yard Stare, Wunderfoot, and 12 Nights in Studio A.
In April 2007, Cadogan started a new band named Radio Angel. Radio Angel features Cadogan on the guitar, and Eric Stock of Stroke 9 on the drums. Steve Harwell formerly of Smashmouth sang on a few songs, before being released from the band.
Radio Angel's first single, "Never Turn You Down," is available on their MySpace Music page.
