RadioAstron

RadioAstron is a planned space radio telescope. It is funded by the Russian Space Research Institute, and is expected to be launched into Earth orbit in October 2008, with a perigee of 10,000 km and an apogee of 390,000 km.[1][2]

At launch the mass of the spacecraft will be about 5,000 kilograms (11,000 lb). It will be launched by a Zenit-2SB carrier rocket with a Fregat-2CB upper stage.[3]
