RadioFF an IP based radio channel is the brain child of the enterprising students of NIT Allahabad from the 2003-2007 batch. This is an initiative to bring high quality,uninterrupted on demand music to the music loving community of the college.From its inception during September 2006 RadioFF has aired more than 5000 songs which include almost 3500 requested songs. Listeners include students from all the hostels of the college. Radio FF achieved a peak listener count of 119.Till now it is approximated that more than 500 listeners have tuned in sometime or the other.

Radio FF was certainly not the first radio channel to be aired on the MNNIT LAN. Till date a number of attempts were made in this direction notably Radio Turtle managed by Amod Niroula and Kheljit Moirangtham which gained popularity for its rock music. Radio.MNNIT was also a noteworthy attempt by the 2008 batch students. This radio for the first time introduced a provision for dedication of songs and the concept of radio jockeys (RJs). But the concept of LAN radio really took off with the inception of Radio FF which crossed the 100 listener count on the second day itself. Radio FF was unique with a clean and user friendly web interface for dedicating and requesting songs. It boasts a commendable database which includes more than 15000 songs and rising. RadioFF started with a bang but due to controversies surrounding the unparalleled success of the radio, the station had to be closed. RadioFF resumed operation in the month of April 2007 after a long gap of 6 months but since then uninterrupted quality music and innovative radio shows are regularly aired. According to an extraordinary statistics listeners increase dramatically during the exam time.
