Raúl Castronovo is a former Argentine football striker. He was born in 1949. He played for clubs in Argentina, Uruguay, France and Spain.
Castronovo began his career with Rosario Central in 1968, an economic crisis in 1970 prompted his move to C.A. Peñarol in Uruguay for the 1971 season where he became the Copa Libertadores de América Topscorer (tied with Luis Artime) with 10 goals.
After a single season in Uruguay Castronovo moved to France to play for Division 1 side AS Nancy between 1971 and 1974.
After leaving France in 1974 Castronovo spent the rest of his career in Spain, playing for CD Malaga, Hercules CF and UD Salamanca.
