R. Michael Bagby is a psychologist, Senior Clinician Scientist and Director of Clinical Research at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH). He is a Full Professor in the Department of Psychiatry, University of Toronto.

His research and clinical interest are in the area of personality and depression, with a particular focus on the personality style as a risk factor for depression and, more recently, the matching of personality style to different types of treatment for depression.

He has published 250 scientific articles and is the co-author of a recent book on Personality and Depression, publish by the American Psychiatric Press.
