Rüdersdorf is a municipality in the district Märkisch-Oderland, in Brandenburg, Germany. It is situated 26 km east of Berlin (centre). Rüdersdorf is famous for its limestone-open-pit mining. Today some parts of the mine are used as a museum (Museumspark Rüdersdorf). Some famous buildings in Berlin such as the Brandenburg Gate are built with limestone from Rüdersdorf.
