[edit] WikiProject Clans of Scotland

Hi, maybe you'd like check out the WikiProject Clans of Scotland.--Celtus (talk) 10:01, 23 February 2008 (UTC)

Hi, yeah I love Scottish clan history QuintusPetillius (talk) 15:18, 23 February 2008 (UTC)
I saw your edits to clans Mackay and Graham (adding high importance cat). If you want to address a pag's importance you can do that with the wikiproject banner in the talk page. All you have to do is assess it. Look at this page - Wikipedia:WikiProject_Clans_of_Scotland/Assessment. There are loads of articles that haven't been assessed yet, and probably loads that haven't had a wikiproject banner added to yet. Here's the code for the banner so you can add pages to the project and rate them - {{WikiProject Clans of Scotland|class=|importance=}} Any ideas on what kind of criteria we should use to assess an articles importance?--Celtus (talk) 07:49, 4 March 2008 (UTC)
Right thanks. I added those two clans to that category with reason. The Grahams are perhaps one of the most important families of the 17th century, in Scotland. firstly James Graham, 1st Marquess of Montrose who commanded the royalist army of Scotland until 1650 and also John Graham, 1st Viscount of Dundee who took part in the early Jacobite rebellions. Also Sir John Graham who fought in the Wars of Scottish Independence and died at the Battle of Falkirk make the Clan Graham important in Scottish history. The Clan Mackay, were the most northernley based clan of the north-west highlands. Their chief was Lord Reay and through out history they have been powerful enough to challenge the likes of Clan Donald, led by the Lord of the Isles and the the Clan Sutherland of the Earl of Sutherland They were also one of the most powerful and were one of the clans who chose to support the British Government during the 17h and 18th century unlike other Mac clans of the north-west. I think they are fairly important, if that is what the category is for.QuintusPetillius (talk) 17:49, 4 March 2008 (UTC)
