Talk:QuietRock
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The claim that quietrock is a complete ripoff appears to not be NPOV. Is there any data or testing to back this statement? I deleted the following:
Quietrock is a complete rip-off. Homosote with rubber dampers placed over the framing and then covered with sheet rock costs half the price, makes for great thermal insulation and works twice as well for sound attenuation. Quietrock is hard to install, as it must be cut with a saw, and then gooped with their special caulking ($60 a tube); instalation takes almost twice as long. Save your money.
Maybe someone can reword the pros and cons of Quietrock a bit more NPOV. I would be interested in someone who understands the tradeoffs of this product to summarize the industry experience with it.
