Quiz Zone

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Quiz Zone is an Irish children's television quiz show, which is broadcasted on RTÉ, the national broadcaster.[1] The show is presented by Jamie Darling, who on the show, is referred to as "the referee".

[edit] Format

The show is set in a type of children's play-room, with tunnels, and slides, which is called 'The Zone'. There are five rounds, with three teams, 'the yellow team', 'the blue team' and 'the red team', who all compete against each other to win mp3 players and possibly laptops if they make it to the top of the leader board at the end of the series.[1]The most successful Quizzone team of all time was Simon Shinkwin, Hugh McGahan, Andrew Broderick and Simon Casey who are now referred to on the show as the dream team.

[edit] Controversy and Allegations

Although in recent months controversy has erupted over the dream team's integrity and validity as a winning team. Despite being unable to prove the unconfirmed reports that they were all vastly over-age, critics have discovered that one of the members has a past-history of child molestation (the group's "extremely close" bond means that none will reveal this individual's identity) . The discovery was made after he was found offering up his winning gold plated laptop to a fellow contestant in return for a "special hug". They have since been stripped of their crown. They are all believed to have fled the country in disgrace. Although there whereabouts are unknown, uncomfirmed sightings have been reported as far away as Vancouver, Canada where witnesses claim they are sleeping with other young men in a small, confined house.
