Talk:Quetico Provincial Park

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

[edit] External links

I think the links to Ontario Parks, which have been removed as spam, are valid, as they are non-commercial government agency websites directly related to the park. see Ontario Parks: Quetico Provincial Park -- BlueCanoe 16:42, 26 May 2006 (UTC)

Agree they are the offical links. You might want to re-add all three links and label it "References" though. -Ravedave 18:07, 26 May 2006 (UTC)
Ezeu's been removing the Ontario Plaques spam and accidentally removed the similarly spelled Ontario Parks links. --NormanEinstein 20:40, 26 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Changes in fishing regulations

This sentence: "In 2007 barbless hooks and artificial bait will be banned from use in the park." is incorrect. The ban will be on barbed hooks and live bait, requiring the use of barbless hooks and artificial lures. This is to reduce injury to fish and prevent the introduction of non-native species, respectively. See the Quetico Fisheries Stewardship Plan (PDF). -- BlueCanoe 17:16, 30 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Regulations section is unclear

It is unclear whether the regulations regarding bottles refers to ALL bottles, or only glass bottles. Are plastic beverage bottles prohibited? The relevant sentences currently read: "Containers of fuel, insect repellent, medicines, personal toilet articles and other items that are not food or beverage are the only cans or bottles that may be brought into Quetico. Non-burnable, disposable food and beverage containers are not allowed." Thank you, John User:jcaldeira
