[edit] Police and fire services as military examples?

In the lede the article says "The medal is awarded for "exemplary acts of bravery", and is primarily a civilian medal, although military personnel can receive it for acts not in the face of the enemy, below the standard required to receive the George Medal. For example, it has been awarded to the Police and Fire and Rescue services" But in Britain the police and fire services are civilian. Shouldn't we be using a member of the armed services for this example? -- SiobhanHansa 18:28, 23 February 2008 (UTC)
