[edit] Suburbs (1)
The "Suburbs of Queanbeyan" Karabar and Dodsworth are used for local government administrative purposes only. Residents of these virtual suburbs are Queanbeyan residents!
Umm, well yeah, like pretty much all other Australian suburbs you mean? --Martyman-(talk) 11:14, 22 January 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Suburbs of Queanbeyan (2)
The suburbs of Queanbeyan have been changed. There are now 13 officially gazetted suburbs. Roaming27 15:01, 8 April 2006 (UTC)
I have since edited the suburbs section to reflect this. Thanks for pointing it out. Ronan.evans 02:52, 22 May 2006 (UTC)
[edit] my last edit
Still trying to get the hang of this. I only changed New south Wales to New South Wales. Roaming27 15:11, 8 April 2006 (UTC)
Any edit is a good edit! Keep up the good work. 58.178.11.8 12:01, 2 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Countrylink
In all honesty the Countrylink box down the bottom seems like an advertisment and should not be included in an encylopedia. 202.67.93.236 01:21, 25 April 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Letchworth is NOT a suburb
To whoever keeps doing it do NOT add Letchworth to the suburbs list again. It is not a suburb but merely a totally unofficial region within Queanbeyan. If you must have Letchworth in the article mention it as an area of Queanbeyan and not a suburb. There are only 13 suburbs and I do not expect the list to grow beyond that point. Ronan.evans 12:30, 1 June 2006 (UTC)
My street map tells me I live in Letchworth (ugh!). The RTA says I live in Queanbeyan West. The NRMA says I live in Crestwood. I tell people to address my mail to Queanbeyan. So confusing... Oak Flats was nice and straightforward! Alivicwil 00:28, 17 April 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Sport
Since when has Queanbeyan had a succesful AFL team? Don't worry, fixed it with replacing AFL, the major compititon of Australian Rules Football with, AUSTRALIAN RULES FOOTBALL! Now if someone wants to know what kind of sport the tigers play they will be redirected to the proper page
[edit] ACTJRU Under 16’s Preliminary Training Squad
Are representatives in this training squad really notable Rugby stars? User:Celcom
- Do they get a mention in a newspaper - being in just the free local community papers is less notable, but if they get a mention in bigger paper then I guess they can score a mention. Wongm (talk) 12:26, 2 June 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Water restrictions
I'll see if I can find a better citation for the water restrictions. I read it in the local newspaper, and the ACTEW site states -- "A service level agreement exists between ACTEW and Queanbeyan City Council. And the agreement states that Queanbeyan City Council will mirror current ACT water use regulations. Permanent Water Conservation Measures and any Temporary Water Restrictions will therefore be applied by Queanbeyan City Council as well." Not sure if that's good enough for Wikipedia ::shrug:: Roaming27 06:01, 16 December 2006 (UTC)
- Finally found a better citation and posted it, yay! Roaming27 00:04, 22 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Queanbeyan Show
I just added a para about the Queanbeyan Show. Should there be a new section for festivals? Or should it stay under the section for Sports and culture? Roaming27 03:30, 22 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Popular Culture
I added this category as the term "strugle town" is so ubiquitously used it should be mentioned. Alamek
