Image talk:Quarks and decays.png
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
This image sucks. To name a few problems:
- The strange and bottom quarks have just one decay mode labeled "rare". But if there is only one decay mode, its probability must be 100%, right?
- The image incorrectly suggests that u, c and t are blue quarks while d, s and b are green quarks. The reader might wonder where the red quarks have gone.
- The meaning of horizontal positioning of the quarks is not indicated. A proper logarithmic mass scale might fix that.
- Since the arrows indicate weak interactions, the vertical axis should be labeled as weak isospin instead of electric charge.

To name another problem, the mass is supposed to be decreasing from right to left, yet the d quark is further left than the u quark when the u quark is the least massive... 67.60.95.67 08:18, 9 October 2007 (UTC)
