Python timoriensis is a non-venomous python species found in South East Asia. A dwarf form. No subspecies are currently recognized.[3]

Adults rarely grow to more than 180 cm (6 feet) in length.[2]

Found in South East Asia on the Lesser Sunda Islands (Flores, Lombien and Timor islands). The type locality given is "Kupang, (Timor)" [Indonesia].[1]

Occurs in open forests and grasslands.[2]

Captive specimens have been known to accept birds and small mammals.[2]

Previously also considered a subspecies of the Indian python, P. molurus.[2]
