The Meal Moth (Pyralis farinalis) is a cosmopolitan pest of stored food products—or rather, the caterpillar is (see Waxworms).

At rest, adult moths (imagines) typically hold the tip of their abdomen at 90° to their body.[1]

The species is found throughout Great Britain, but is mostly restricted to "artificial" habitats of stored grain (e.g. barns and warehouses).[1] Adults fly from June to August.[1]
