Puyehue Lake (Mapudungun: puye, small fish and hue, place) is located in the border of Los Lagos Region with Los Ríos Region of Chile.
In 2001-2002, several sediment cores were taken in Lake Puyehue. The scientific results have been published in several journals (QR 2005 [1], JOPL 2008 [2])
