Punctuation in French

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Punctuation in French (or French punctuation) is a term used in some Microsoft documents as a partial proxy for French spacing rules in the period following the recent reversal of meaning of French spacing in America. It primarily refers to "additional" spaces retained in French-language printing before and after punctuation, which have been lost in recent years in English-language high-volume commercial printing.
