Pulse were the winners of the BBC reality show, Dance X. They have signed a recording contract with Gut Records and released their first single, Dancing In Repeat, (written by Oscar Gorres and Swedish popstar Danny Saucedo) as a digital download on August 27, 2007 and as a CD single on September 3, 2007. It debuted in the UK on September 15, 2007 at a disappointing #91. This was thought to be due to lack of promotion. The BBC were rumored to have exploited the young performers.
During 2007 they have been supporting Rihanna in her UK leg of the tour
Claire, Marie, Marquelle, Phoenix and Rana have started recording an album and are preparing to support Rihanna on her upcoming UK tour. Readers of The Sun newspaper have chosen the band's name to be 'Pulse'.
