Pull inventory

Philosophy of inventory where warehouses "pull" replenishment inventories according to order sizes based on specific needs of each warehouse. This method supports a just-in-time approach.

Toyota's approach in this respect is that there is no inventory apart from that being processed. Toyota achieves this by having no overproduction, by minimising lot size and aiming for single piece working.
