Pugwash, or Portsmouth University Guild of Writers and Student Hacks, is the current Media Publication of the University of Portsmouth's Student Union. An award winning monthly publication, it coincides with the bi-monthly release of Pugwash News. An entirely Student run project, written, designed and published by an overly committed editorial team of 12 made up of three sub-sections, Features, Reviews and Designs. The Current Editor-in-chief is Gamel Oki.
In accordance with the Magazine, a weekly radio show is broadcasted on PureFM, with head presenters Tallie Kane (Reviews Sub-Editor), Gamel Oki (Magazine Editor) and Aakash Naik (Reviews Editor), named The Pugwash Show!.
The Magazine is notorious for it's oddly dedicated group of contributors, many of which are editors of Pugwash News, that work overnight on weekends proof-reading meticulously, eating sweets sent into the Union Sabbatical Office and not going home before 12am unless the publication is pitch-perfect.
