Pudachi Vadi
Also known as Bakarvadi, is a famous snack in the western parts of the Maharashtra state. There are two famous places in Maharashtra, where you will find Pudachi Vadi. Pune, where it is also known as Bakarvadi, offers the sweeter version of this snack. Where as in Kolhapur, you will get the more spicier version.
Pudachi vadi has an outer covering of Gram flour and is filled with a mixture of dried grated coconut, coriander, chili powder, and Indian spices. It is deep-fried and very crispy.
Availability:
In Pune pudachi vadi is available at Chitale Bandhu Mithaiwale. They have several shops in Pune including deccan Gymkhana and Laxmi Road. In Kolhapur, there are many places where you get Pudachi Vadi but the most famous place is Gruhini Vastu Bhandar. Gruhini has two branches in the city, one in Shahupuri and the other in Mahadwar Road.
