Does Swedes have the most free time of any country? They enjoy 17(!) holidays - those that fall on Sundays not included. In addition to this, they get at least 5 weeks vacation (by law). This makes for at least 8 1/2 weeks of time off! The Swedes sure love their free time. No wonder they travel so much...

[edit] Walpurgis day?

The whole Walpurgis day discussion is anti May Day POV in my opinion. The day is a holiday because of May Day, and for no other reason. I have not seen a calendar mentioning Walpurgis Day in all my life. Not approving of the origins of a Labour day, does not change the fact that it is there, and is the reason for May 1st being a holiday and flag day.

I guess it is always possible to do some research and find a different reason to celebrate if you don't approve of the origins of a holiday, but that does not make it "Several observances at once", it just makes it a personal pet project, not worthy of encyclopediatic inclusion.

I'll probably remove it, or at least reduce it isngnificantly, if nobody disagrees within a few days. Kriko 22:50, 4 June 2006 (UTC)

That long-ago comment is obsolete by now. The Walpurgis Night article is long and extensive. Rursus 06:25, 1 March 2007 (UTC)

Valborg isn't May day it's the last of april and is a totaly diffrent thing, the article schould say Walpurgis. //Rapio —Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.183.136.44 (talk) 19:38, 23 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Merger?

Someone put a merger template onto the page, but here's nothing motivating why. That's littering! Rursus 06:25, 1 March 2007 (UTC)

And no motivation on the Talk:Swedish festivities either! This is undisciplined, I'll remove the request! Rursus 06:29, 1 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Seperation of the table

I have seperated the table from the section "Several observances at once", because it simply just makes more sense that way. Although I do realize the comments made in "Several observances at once" are related to the table it is in fact just comments. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Faffia (talkcontribs) 18:53, 22 March 2007 (UTC).
