Cambodia has various dates and ceremonies that are considered to be a special part of the Cambodian calendar year:

| May 13-15 | King's Birthday | King Norodom Sihamoni of Cambodia was born on 14 May 1953. |

| 23 May | Royal Plowing Ceremony | This public holiday corresponds to the start of the planting season. |

| November 11-13 | Water Festival | Bonn Om Teuk in Khmer. Boat races on the Tonle Sap in Phnom Penh celebrate the time when the water in the river reverses course. |
