Public Understanding of Science (journal)

Public Understanding of Science is a peer-reviewed academic journal published by Sage Publications, dealing with topics in the popular perception of science, the role of science in society, Philosophy of science, science education, and science in public policy.

Its impact factor in the 2005 Social Science Edition of Journal Citation Reports was 0.913 (3 out of 29 in the History & Philosophy of Science category, and 13 out of 42 in the Communication category).

ISSN (print): 0963-6625, ISSN (electronic): 1361-6609. It has been published quarterly since 1992; it is available both in print and online. It is indexed in Web of Science, Scopus, and specialized indexing services.
