Public Policy Forum

The Public Policy Forum (PPF), founded in 1987[1] is an independent, non-profit Canadian think-tank for public-private dialogue [2]. The organization's stated aim is "to serve as a neutral, independent forum for open dialogue on public policy"[3]

The PPF has sponsorship from businesses, federal and provincial governments, the voluntary sector and the labour movement.

The PPF functions primarily as an independent facilitator of dialogue. The Forum has more than 150 participating organizations from business, labour, academia, government, the voluntary sector, and the media.[4]

In addition, the PPF arbitrates a series of Annual Testimonial Awards[5] and other awards, which are recognized in the Canadian press. Recipients of the Annual Testimonial Awards active in Canadian politics have included Bob Rae and Roy Romanow. According to the PPF website, the award pays "tribute to distinguished Canadians who have made an outstanding contribution to the quality of public policy and public management in our country."[6]
